16 Months

I turned 16 months old on Sunday....same day Cousin Hayden turned 2! Happy Birthday, Cousin Hayden! I am into everything....love to color, run, talk, climb on the furniture, read books, play with the pots and pans....I pretty much love to do it all! Here are a couple of pictures from a birthday party we went to with our Mom and Tots group. I had so much fun! We'll see everyone for the holidays!

Edinburgh

This past weekend we drove up to Edinburgh for a little "getaway". We took Adalyn to the zoo where we all had a good time even though we didn't get to see all of the animals. We saw lots of penguins and monkeys. She can now do the sign for "monkey" and makes her monkey sounds! That afternoon, we made a very LONG walk up the mountain to see Edinburgh Castle. It is massive and was definately worth the walk. Edinburgh is a great city with lots of historic sites....we'll be back there for sure!

Highland Games

A couple of weekends ago we drove up to Braemar to see the annual Highland Games. These are games that a lot of the villages here have every summer. There are events like the hammer throw, tug-of-war, highland dancing, foot races, sack races, battle of the bands (of which I've tried to include a short videoof one pipe band warming up), and the one we attended had a type of mountain race where the runners had to run to the top of the mountain and back down. We were quite impressed with this race as there were runners who seemed to be in their 70's. The Queen also attends these particular games, but we left before her arrival. Adalyn would do her "more" sign when the bands would stop playing. We had a great time!

Eating My Yogurt

Here I am eating my yogurt all by myself. I did a great job and didn't even make of a mess! What a big girl!

Pony Show

This past Sunday, I went to a pony show at the park. It was a beautiful day and lots of people were out to enjoy the sunshine. I saw a pony dressed up like Minnie Mouse and one dressed up like Merlin. I even got to see some Clydesdales and one man even let me sit on his pony named Mollie! I had a great time!

14 Months

Today, Adalyn is 14 months. Wow!! Where is the time going? She is cutting her bottom molars and looks like the top ones won't be far behind. We are still going to sign class as she has really taken off with her signing. She does the signs for "more", "flower", "eat", "thank-you", "please", "all done" and is working on "banana". She is saying "sit", "this", "ice", and a few others that we are still trying to decipher. She can also "moo" when you ask what the cow says and "quack-quack" for the duck. We are SO PROUD!! Sorry, no new pictures to post. Hope to have some new ones up in the next week or two. Untill next time....

Berry Picking

Last Friday we went with our Mom and Tots group to a farm to pick strawberries and rasberries. We had a lot of fun picking our own fruit. Mommy and I even snuck in a few bites while we picked our fruit. We even got to see some ponies, cows, rabbits, and sheep! It was a great way to spend a Friday morning!

Okay....here's my bucket. Let's go!

Here I am with my friends from our group.

Look at all these strawberries!
