On Superbowl Sunday we decided to give the quincho/parilla (Argentine for Grill) a test run. When we were looking for houses we were told the joke here is "The Argentines build the quincho/parilla first and the house later". These people LOVE their grilled meats! I do have to say the meat is excellent here! Brandon and Mr. Troya did a great job on the chorizo (sausage) and lomito (tenderloins). It was all so yummy!

Stitches Are Out
The stitches came out on Monday and I did a great job! Mom said I was so brave! We still can't figure out how many I actually had...the doc said seven but mom only counted five. Oh well...it's over and done with. Hopefully, we will not have to go through an experience like that one again!

OUCH!
Well, it happened.....Mommy's worst day in the whole 2 1/2 years of my life. Last Thursday we were outside and I tripped on something, fell and busted my forehead open on the edge of our steps. I was a trooper. Mom and Mr. Nestor got me all cleaned up and our real estate lady took Mom and I to the hospital. Mom knew as soon as it happened that I would need stitches...she cried just as much if not more than I did. Mom called Dad to get him headed our way. We got to the hospital and they took an X-ray. (I've been wanting to get one of those.....the letter X on one of my puzzles has a picture of an x-ray and I always say "I want to get an x-ray") Well, now I have a great picture of my skull! They had to call the plastic surgeon to come in to sew my cut. This apparently is standard procedure here whenever there is a facial wound. It took him about an hour (seemed like 3 to Mom) to get there. After 3 or 4 stitches, some talk about what I wanted to have on my pizza, and paying our bill we were out the door. I am doing great and let "Dr. Mommy" put my medicine on my bandage every night. The stitches come out on Monday and I'll be good as new!

Conversation with Adalyn
Adalyn: "Mom, what are you putting on your face?"
Mom: "Moisturizer so I don't get wrinkles."
Adalyn: "Then you will have to iron them out?"
Mom: "What?"
Adalyn: "If you get wrinkles, you will have to iron them out with the iron."
Mom: "I never thought of that. Yes, I would have to get an iron to get the wrinkles out."
What a great way to start the day with such joy and laughter!

Meet Bella
Well, we don't know how he did it, but Dad REALLY surprised Mommy and me with a new puppy for Christmas! We would like to introduce you to the newest member of our family.....Bella Estrella...a Border Collie. She is the sweetest little girl, next to me, and we all love playing with her. She is a great addition to our lives!
Merry Christmas!
I had a GREAT Christmas! Mom and I made cookies and I had a blast! I put on my Santa hat and got down to business while singing Jingle Bells! After all the cookies were made, I wrote my letter to Santa and decorated it. On Christmas Eve, Mom, Dad, and I put out the reindeer food and got Santa's treats all ready for him. I came downstairs Christmas morning and said, "Oh my goodness, I got a doll stroller! AND A KITCHEN! Oh my goodness, why did Santa leave me all this stuff!?!?!" He even left me the computer I asked for! It was the best! After I opened my gifts, we went to church and then came home to have a DELICIOUS meal with some of our friends. It was a great day and we even have a new addition to our family! (pics to follow) Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and we all wish you a Happy New Year! Love and Hugs!

Santa Is On His Way
(I poked myself in the eye at the store earlier that day...hence why it looks a little swollen)
Santa, "I want a computer for Christmas, please."
Last Saturday, we went to the British Ambassador's residence for a Christmas Bazaar and to see Santa. It was a beautiful day and there was no fear of Santa. I walked right up to him and told him what I wanted for Christmas. Mom and Dad were so proud of me AND I even gave the candy that Santa gave me to Mom and Dad. I said, "Here Mom and Dad, here's a treat from Santa I got for you!" What a sweet girl....ALWAYS thinking of others! After I visited with Santa I got to pick a lollipop with Dad from the lollipop tree! When Mom pointed out the tree to me I said, "Santa has a Lollipop Tree? That's crazy! Where did he get a Lollipop Tree from?" I'm even getting REALLY good at singing "Jingle Bells". Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
